Support

Social worker is stationed at the school every Tuesday and Friday, providing case counselling and consultation services to children and parents. In line with children’s developmental needs, the social worker also coordinates and introduces community resources to organize educational, developmental, and diverse activities for children and parents.

 

One special childcare worker take care of six children with special educational needs, who are provided with individual counselling, lifestyle training and social learning, so they can grow happily with other children to achieve integrated education effectively. (Referrals for this service are made through the Central Referral System of the Social Welfare Department).

 

The school has participated in the “On-Site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services” scheme introduced by the Social Welfare Department and the SAHK provides the school with multidisciplinary on-site services delivered by a professional team that includes psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, and special childcare workers, providing assessment, training and consultation for children with special education needs or poorer learning abilities, and provide support services for children and parents. 

 

The school arranges group learning activities and individually adjusts learning progress for non-Chinese speaking children. The school encourages non-Chinese speaking children to enhance their verbal Chinese abilities and learning motivation through using games and teaching aids, interacting with their peers, and participating in different forms of activities.
